Everyday Life: Week 1

I've decided to give something new a try! I really like 5 Things but it's hard to narrow it down to just 5 photos. I used to carry my camera with me everywhere I went, to capture little bits of my day or things that caught my eye. Over the years, I've gotten out of the habit. In fact, before I began Business Lady Polish, I hadn't picked up my camera in quite a while.

It took time to get used to the weight in my hands, the way it felt to carry it, to remember exactly how to work it. But we became friends again. I've gotten better at switching my lenses than I ever used to be. It feels good to be able to look at life through the lens of my D40. To be able to capture simple beauty and bits of life that we often breeze by. Content will get better in time, as I switch out of 5 Things mode and into this. I'm really excited!

One of my favourite food bloggers, Shutterbean, began a similar project last year and I'm smitten. I loved the way she captured the ins and outs of her week and I couldn't help but wish to do the same with mine. So without further ado, I give you Everyday Life =)

(also, some of these are shot with my blackberry...)

  1. Well, those scones look awfully jummy! Did you bake them yourself? I really like the idea of posting little snaps from everyday life, can't wait to see your next episode :)

    1. They're so easy to make, one of my absolute favourite recipes.

I definitely think so! I like savory scones more than sweet LOL
