Blue For Bryant Friday: Cult Nails Princess

Disclaimer: I know a lot of people have strong feelings about Cult Nails and the things that unfolded recently. I can see and understand both sides. But I'll still wear her polishes that I own. I'm not sure if I'll buy in the future but that remains to be seen.

ANYWAY.

For the final installment of Valentine's Week, this pick was a no-brainer for me. Even though it's not the traditional red, white or pink, I still thought it fit the theme quite well. Bryant and I have a lot of nicknames for one another (I know, I know). Most of them have evolved from an original nickname we gave each other. I call him Little Muffin. Whenever we go on vacation with my family, my stepmom always greets us with "Good morning! There's a little muffin!" and I picked it up and started using in the morning and it's just kind of...stuck. There's also Little Bryant Toot Toot (which actually came in part from a nickname of one of my cousins and that one kind of stuck too). He calls me Little Anna Who Smiles A lot.

That was an awful lot of rambling to tell you that he calls me his Princess, thus the reason I chose this polish. =)

Princess is from Cult Nails' Summer 2012 collection, Fairy Tale. It's a gorgeous pale blue shot through with pink, gold and green shimmer. This polish gets a lot of love in my stash, it's so versatile and is a nice counterpoint with a lot of my work clothes. Take today, I'm wearing BRIGHT red-orange pants and it just...works! Hah.

This is 3 coats with SV.

Rach and I will have a Skinny Dipping post for you on Monday! Happy Friday!!

    1. It's a long story but Maria decided to do a giveaway of three pair diamond earrings as a free gift with purchase and one of her blogger friends won the big (1ct) pair. A lot of people have claimed that she rigged the whole thing (which I think is ridiculous). Her blog post might explain it better! http://www.cultnailsblog.com/2013/01/blog-post.html

    2. Yeah, I don't think it was done on purpose (although I didn't buy the set, so I don't really care) but I think it could have been handled better.

  2. Bad luck for them, in my opinion. They had an anniversary polish that was coupled with a pair of cubic zirconia earrings with a random 3 pairs of real diamond earrings - 2x half caret sets and 1x one caret set. One of their close, local bloggers who they know personally got the 1 caret set, blogged about it and people began complaining. I've been doing business with them for a long time, and I have almost all of their polishes. I feel that their customer service is beyond great, and I believe them about this event. Also, if it was deliberate, I'm pretty sure the recipient would have kept quiet. I'm also cynical enough to know I could be wrong, but frankly, I don't care if they gave their friend a present. So far, no one has come forward about the other 2 pair of real earrings.

    1. I didn't buy the set, so I don't really mind but I think they could probably have handled it better. I don't think it was on purpose either but I'm not naive enough to think that it couldn't have happened. I like CN & Maria but I just...I don't know. lol.

  3. I've been out of the loop with the Cult Nails drama, so I can't really comment on that but this polish is gorgeous! I LOVE the shimmer and it looks great on you, Anna!
