I know a lot of people are either ambivalent or just don't like today but I do! Obviously, I show my love everyday but there's something special about today. That also might be the candy talking, I dunno. But I did download this super cute desktop photo the other day.
I didn't like it, for a very long time. Something about my parent's getting divorce or another. But then I met Bryant. Blah blah, I know, boyfriends make it better. But it's less about having a significant other and more about the joy he genuinely has for today, thanks to his parent's. And ever since he totally surprised me (which if you're familiar with our engagement story, you'll know it's hard to do) last year, I've come around =)
But for me, it's about letting those you love and enjoy spending time with, know they're important to you and doing just a little bit more. And you know, if all else fails, as Donna Meagle & Tom Haverford say, TREAT YO SELF.
Anyway, onto the polish.
I wanted to do something a little bit special this year, so I pulled out my favourite pale pink (and what I'm realizing is my only light pink creme...) and went to town. After having a bit of fun here this week, I successfully executed nail art! I've tried polka dots in the past. Not pretty.
Ji describes Plie as, "As the curtain rises on Swan Lake, a very soignée woman peers through her opera glasses and realizes the satiny slippers on the prima ballerina are the exact shade of her own satiny nails." It's the exact shade of ballet pink, I don't think I could describe it any better. I've been wanting to buy a pair of ballet pink tights for nostalgia purposes (and I think they'd go with some of the pieces in my closet really well) and this polish has reignited the desire.

Do you have any plans for today or tonight? I'm skipping my night class to stay home and spend time with Bryant and eat Twizzlers. While I love chocolate, he opted to get me a bag of Twizzlers. Man after my own heart, I tell ya.

I think that's one of the only RBLs that I'd splurge on at this point. Blah-de-blah-blah too expensive blah-de-blah doesn't wear well on me, etc and the other stuff. BUT. I love this color. It looks great on you.
